In just about 2 hours, I will be officially beginning a journey with a hundred or so (I think) other people from all over the world.
This journey will take us 30 days, and will cover terrain that many of us have never known of before. This journey will change our lives and give us experiences we will always remember.
This journey is called the Body Enlightenment System (BES).
Beginning with a 24-hour fast, I will be eating only fresh, wholesome, raw food for at least the next 30 days. Ever since my 10-day juice fast in 2006, I've been reading up on the benefits of the Garden Diet.... but in my mind, it has always been a long-term goal to reach.
However, sometimes life can really surprise you.... and I have made a commitment to being a raw foodist for the next 30-days.
For the uninitiated, being a raw foodist does not mean you eat sushi and sashimi.... it refers to eating what God originally designed to be the optimum "fuel" for our bodies.
This means eating only raw, uncooked fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and oils.
I have spent the last few days being alternatively excited and scared.
But now that the time has finally come to bid cooked foods goodbye, I find myself smiling at the thought of embracing a diet that will give me renewed energy, a stronger immune system, a happier outlook on life, and specifically... detox the clutter in my life - physical, emotional, spiritual.
I will keep an online log of this journey for all those interested.
I'd say to wish me all the best, but luck hardly has anything to do with it.
Because I have already chosen to come out of this journey victorious! :)
