All it takes is one life-changing event to make you realise that all the little things you used to be so fussy about, all the stuff you took so seriously cuz they seemed like mountains at the time...
... each and every one of them are really just tiny little specks in the vast eternity that exists.
And just imagine, God sees everything, and yet he still bothers with the little stuff that bothers us!
Well, nowadays I'm learning to take things a little less seriously.
To laugh at the little things that used to bother me.
And strangely, I find that I am able to do so.
When death stares you in the face, and you realise how frail life is... and how silly it is to simply be existing and not living... well, that changes things quite a bit!
So yes, I still work hard...
In fact the Bible tells us:
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
~Ecclesiastes 9:10
But it is also important to do whatever we do with joy and love... not plod on in life as if it owes you something!~Ecclesiastes 9:10
So here's to life!
Enjoy it while you can.

Thx Sheez for the cool post! My mum taught me the same thing too, that you can't treat life as if it owes you a living.
It's true that often we get so caught up in life, school, in things we enslave ourselves to that we forget to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. That said.. I feel like downing a tub of Haagen Daaz right now. Any flavor! :-)
Oh yeah in May, I still have school lah. Did you forget? Not all of us graduating ok. haha :-P Congrats and wishing you all the best as you finish. TC Sheez, keep the posts coming!
Hahhahaa... yays!

Well, no, didn't forget lah - was HOPING you would be able to come and attend our graduation mah! ;)
