Life is like a box of dark chocolates.
Milk chocolates are an unrealistic parallel because life is never really that pristine and sweet all the time. Perhaps that's why I've always loved the taste of dark chocolate much better.
Much like life, the bitter and the sweet mingle together to make a perfect combination. Without one, the other would have a lot less meaning.
It is this mixing of good and bad that gives life its richness.
I must be honest with you readers - I am not 100% raw. But I am definitely on the road to rawness. I feel much more comfortable with this, and now am learning to take the 30 day BES as a training ground for a better, more balanced, healthier diet.
I'm experiencing the benefits of raw, whilst not being too idealistic in trying to implement an overnight miracle.
It's much easier to be happy and confident like this than to beat myself over any small "failures" or indulgences over to the Cooked Side.
A change of perspective takes time to stay permanent.
I'd rather this be a lifetime change than a 30 day fling.
