Body Combat and Hatha Yoga


Tried out 2 new classes (back to back) at the gym today.
Apart from Judo (which probably isn't anywhere near the same), I have never really tried out any form of martial arts... so Body Combat was pretty interesting (albeit at times hard to keep up with).

I really got into shouting "EEAAAHH!!" while making uppercuts and side kicks... visualizing actually hitting a boxing thingy (what's that big long bolster-like thing u practise on in boxing? The name suddenly eludes me). At times, the instructor even told us to visualize hitting someone's chin or nose.

For example, he'd shout "Chin! Chin! Nose Nose! Who's that behind you!??"
And we'd have to turn and give a nice kick!

Excellent stress relief!
I highly recommend it if you're angry at someone. Hahahahhahaa....


Next, Hatha Yoga.
After an hour of Body Combat, I was pretty spent, but decided to try Hatha Yoga since I was there (and waiting for Luann who was taking a tour of the place).
Can I just say - those aunties had more stamina than me!
I admit that towards the two-third mark I began to take little rests in between the lengthy poses that we were supposed to hold for like 12 breaths.
Siong man!

But I'm definitely wanting more!!!! :p
