... we've learned thru various academic channels that communication is what happens when 2 parties exchange messages. One side encodes, transmits, sends, and the other side decodes, absorbs and reacts appropriately.
Yet, we as human beings often don't really put into communication the things we really want others to perceive.
Words can be so beautiful and yet so futile.
