They spoke of the wonder and size of God.
They reminded us not to box him up and down-size him.
He is after all the God who created the (known) universe in just a breath.
And yet we never fail to underestimate, anticipate (wrongly), and even admonish him at times.
How can we even begin to imagine God's infinite wisdom and vision?
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
However, it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." But God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

There is a lot more that I would like to quote after that bit... but then I might as well be retyping out most of the chapter (why reinvent the wheel??)... so go ahead and read for yourself in your bible! :p
Anyway... the point that I've been contemplating in keeping with the smallness I've been feeling after "upsizing" God, is that I believe I'm a lot more open to the fact that how I see where my life is going is probably pretty ant-like and inaccurate. My purpose on earth, or even the little impact I possibly have on this earth is something which I am learning to humble myself to. That in God's crazily huuuuuge vision, there's probably a lot more that I would never expect myself to do in my life.
Does that make sense?
It's basically painstakingly making a picture of what I think my life is and should be, and then burning it up because all I need is a blank piece of paper so that God can paint HIS work of art. Not mine.
