This week has somehow been a really busy one for me.
Nothing really big has changed at work, but adjusting to living slightly further away from school now means I wake up at 5:30am every morning instead of about 6am.
There's also a "nice" 15 minute brisk walk to the BTS, and let's just say that we Singaporeans have certainly taken nice sidewalks too much for granted.
Walking to the BTS everyday (and back) is something of an obstacle course. Between that and the recent wet weather, I've taken to leaving my heels in school and walking in slippers (very unfashionably but practically).
For entertainment, I have 30 channels available - most of which are Thai channels, news in Japanese, Chinese, French, and.... luckliy English too - Channel News Asia in fact.
Most days I get back close to my bed time... seeing how I would really like to get to bed by 8:30am. Which leaves hardly any time for anything else but washing up and winding down.
So I'm really grateful for the weekend.
Am particularly thankful that the Lord has brought me here safely, provided for my needs, sent me friends to take care of me, and now the internet has brought me a little closer to home... in a word - SKYPE! It's been great being able to chat with my mom and dad and even watching little Cassi look confused about where my voice is coming from.
(She started running around looking for me at one point... poor thing)
Though, I'm not quite sure if Skype makes me feel better or worse about missing my family in Singapore. Heh.
One thing's for sure though... I'm still happy, and very grateful for my lot in life. :)
