Making the 15 minute walk in the rain this morning certainly proved interesting.
For one, Thailand's sidewalks can hardly be called sidewalks.
Sidewalks that flood? Hmmm....
Also, Bangkok is prone to flooding whenever there is torrential rain.
Luckily this morning isn't as bad as 2 days ago. (I took some really cool pics, but they're in my laptop at home, so will add them to my blog tonight)
At one point, splashing around in my brown flip-flops (I had packed my work shoes), I suddenly had a flash of a childhood memory - tying up my feet in plastic bags to protect my white canvas shoes from getting soaked! That brought a small smile to my lips as I continued making my way to the BTS station.
Am considering doing that tomorrow.
