Love Notes

I have a small box called "Ask Ms Shimona" which sits on a cabinet in my homeroom at school.
I made it with the intention to help shy kids ask questions they need to ask discreetly,but somehow, it ended up just being the "Write Ms Shimona a Love Note" box.

I've gotten some really cute and funny notes, and some really sweet.
So I decided that I'll start sharing some with you....


This note I got is in relation to a pet project my class has started - a mini library.
I sacrificed some of my pay this month to go to a big book sale and a bunch of books.
Plus the fact that our class has a really cozy Reading Corner, which the kids LOVE and are totally responsible to keep looking nice.
So getting this particular note was great because I can see that my kids are really beginning to love books and take pride in reading voraciously.










This next note is from one of the naughtiest kids in the class.
His name's Harshit.
Yes, I kid you not.

So anyway, I don't think I can really call him the naughtiest anymore, because in the few weeks that I've been his homeroom teacher, I can really see the improvement he's made in his behaviour! He's such an intelligent boy (and as you can see has grrrreat handwriting!), and I used his strengths to boost his confidence in his own ability to change.
