I've so far refrained from commenting on the current political situation in Thailand.
However, after hearing that the PAD stormed Suvarnabhumi airport last night, I must say, I personally have had it with their selfish and brainless antics.
So far, most "normal" lives continue without much infringement.
Yeah, sure... traffic is possibly worse than before (who knew that could be possible!), and occasionally schools will close for a day or two in view of traffic conditions.
And as long as you refrain from going anywhere near any "hotspots" where you know there are riots going on (ie. Don Mueang airport, the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, and now Suvarnabhumi airport!) , you're pretty much safe and don't even see anything out of the ordinary.
Luckily, the area around which I live and work is pretty much nowhere near of those places.
Every day, I'm increasigly appalled by the lawlessness and stupidity of the PAD.
They are creating havoc for the majority of Thailand, and harming themselves at the same time.
Bravo!
At the end of this nonsense, what DO they expect to accomplish????
Kick the government out, sure.
And WHO will replace them?
Will you kick the next batch out too??!!

Yes, Auntie and Uncle (Shimona's parents) Don't worry. where we are we is far from all the nonsense havoc. If it wasn't for the news we wouldn't even know all this stuff was going on. Right Shiz? Haha you know if I didn't over hear my students talking about it I wouldn't even know that the airport was shut down!..aiyaaa...See ya.

i totally agree with you shimona. those selfish stupid people should leave the airport. right now. it's causing problems for everyone! i'm so mad at them!! i hope they clear out before my flight.
