I'm really beginning to feel like this is home.
And I don't just mean my new apartment.
Somehow, I've created a life of my own here in Bangkok.
Honestly, I've never really been comfortable to admit that that was the sole reason for coming here in the first place - a fresh start - the opportunity to carve out a "way" of my own... independent of my history and thus free to truly achieve anything.
Just a few years ago, I thought I could be happy supporting another person.
Going anywhere in the world just to take care of that person... doing whatever it took and taking whatever job was necessary for the benefit of our new family.
I believe I am an adaptable person with many various interests and passions. Hence, many things in life make me happy.
But now, having the freedom and time to decide on my own (with no strings attached) what it is I truly am happy doing with my life, I find myself remembering old dreams and interests that had been neglected along the way.
Like travelling.
And music.
And furthering my career.
What can I say.... there's SO much to explore and discover.
And I'm finding many of those things right here in Bangkok.
