Yesterday Evening, Jasmine and I attended a Hatha Yoga class at California Fitness.
It was great!
The studio was packed to the brim, and yoga mats had run out by the time we got there (which was like 5 minutes before the class started)... So I practised half on the floor and half using a gym mat (not ideal for certain poses).
Must remember to bring my own may next time round.
I recognised some poses from Power Yoga, and some from Bikram.
I certainly enjoyed the session.
It wasn't even as draining as I thought it would be, albeit still challenging.
I got to try a headstand for the first time!
With the instructor's help of course.
Pretty interesting feeling standing on one's head.
Let's just say my orientation was totally messed up.
I couldn't tell for the life of me if my body was straight or not.
Dr Ram said that I 50% got it....
He also said that petite, light people will have it easier.
Sigh... more reason to work on the weight issue.
So now I have another fitness goal - do a headstand by myself one day! Maybe by this year? :p
