It's been a really long week...
I guess I kinda say that and feel that every week.
But it never gets easier.
And I'm glad.
Life would be so much less meaningful without challenging situations and tough experiences, right?
Just got back from stuffing my face full of Japanese food.
Japanese buffet - sushi, sashimi... the works!
My colleagues and I had been looking forward to that the entire week!
Another point of focus for me these days is attending my new church.
It's a very homey little group called Newsong, and they meet every Sat evening in the heart of Bangkok in a little cafe.
The group is made out of young people.
And something they call "Third Culture" people.
Farangs and Thais alike meet.
We sit on the floor.
Cross-legged, against a wall, sideways... a few cushions strewn here and there.
It's a familiar environment.
The day I first stepped in, I felt almost nostalgic.
Newsong reminds me of my Noah's Ark days - following Parousia around... and my teenage years growing up with the YM... hanging out in the Upper Room. Heh.
I often wonder what brought me here.
To Thailand.
Away from my parents.
Living in a box.
I still do yoga.
Keeping fit makes me happy.
Maintaining balance and focus keeps me centered.
The most amazing thing to me, is how God brought yoga into my life... in 2004.
Learning to keep my eyes focused on one point... to pay attention, to be aware...
to listen to that still small voice.
And in the movement of everyday life, I seek to learn balance and focus.
To keep my gaze purposefully centered forward - in the future.
And on Him.
